The Power of Sisterhood
“You're better together, your differences are your strengths, and nothing is stronger than your sisterhood. Nurture that.” - Marisol Vera
The main theme of the show Charmed, is based on sisterhood and girl power. In the beginning of Season 1, there are some instances where Marisol Vera can be seen lecturing her daughters Mel and Maggie to value their sisterhood above all else. Mel, Maggie, and Macy constantly face many challenges throughout the show that alone they may not be able to overcome. Whenever the “Charmed Ones” face off with a powerful and dangerous demon they combine their powers. This magical bond between the three sisters is called the “Power of Three” which makes them the most powerful force to be reckoned with. One instance of when the "Power of Three" is used is when the "Charmed Ones" capture the Harbinger of Hell. They were able to subdue the demon and rid their friend Angela from the demonic possession. Another instance of when they combined their power to defeat a foe is when they stripped Charity Callahan of her powers when the Elder Witch tried unsuccessfully to murder Macy when she realized that Macy knew her secret and that she could not erase her memory. The bond between these sisters is what makes the show great and what makes them the best witches.
